An Update on the 2010 Census

While the main portion of the 2010 Census has been completed, there are still loose ends that need to be tied up. That being said, consumers may still be visited by a Census worker or see them about in their neighborhood. BBB wants consumers to be aware of the final phases the Cenus Bureau is undertaking to prevent any misunderstandings.

Census Employees Begin Door-to-Door Work on May 1st

A Second Round of Census Forms May Head Your Way

In the effort to increase the mailback rate of the 2010 Census, the Census Bureau has announced that a second mailing of the standard 10 question form will be going out to areas that had a low mailback rate in 2000. Consumers who receive a second form in the mail, but already filled out and returned their questionnaire last month, can simply ingore it. For others, this is a second chance to avoid a census worker paying you a visit at your front door.
