While most of the health care reforms signed into law earlier this year won't take effect for another four years, small businesses can look forward to an immediate health care tax credit designed to offset insurance premiums. BBB encourages business owners to check their eligibility and take advantage of the tax credit valuing up to 35% of employee health insurance costs in 2010.

Last year, a single Central Texas hailstorm caused an estimated $160 million in damages. While the average hail storm lasts about six minutes, the National Weather Service estimates that hail causes roughly $1 billion in damages each year. Hail can severely damage the roof and siding of homes and businesses as well as shatter windshields, side view mirrors, headlights and leave noticeable damage to the body of a vehicle.

Reports to BBB state sales representatives use high pressure sales tactics, claiming the policies have a limited enrollment period and asking consumers for personal information.
